Hope Mack - Grad Portraits

This post is more than about the photo session of a college graduate.  It's about a strong minded woman and single parenting mom who is raising an amazing 11 year old son named Zachary.  I did not know all of this when I initially spoke with Hope on the phone during the booking of her session and the exchanging of session information.  I only found this out when I contacted my daughter (she's the one that recommended Hope to me because they work together) and I told her how impressed I was with both Hope and Zach.

Every portrait session starts off with the subject(s) and photographer attempting to developing a re pore and becoming comfortable with each other.  As Hope's session progressed I not only found her to be beautiful both inside and outwardly, but her self confidence and intellect was easy to detect and capture in her images.  Aside from complementing her personal qualities, I could not stop raving over the attention, love, and concern Zachary showed toward his mom.  This kid LOVES his mother and her investment in him showed in how well-behaved he was during the entire session.

I feel that I was extremely privileged to photograph this college graduate and to capture the love between a mother and her son.  Hope, I not only want to congratulate you on your academic achievements, but I can attest that you have already earned a Master's Degree for being an outstanding mother to Zachary.  I wish you the best in life that your education can offer both you and your son so that you can continue being an example to every woman who aspires to succeed in life as you have.

Enjoy!
Willie

Inna & Ben's Love Story Session

There are certain photographic sessions in a photographer's career that define him or her.  Then there are those sessions that become endearing moments of "forever memories". This session of my grandson and his newly engaged fiance fits the latter.  I have photographed Benjamin from birth in the delivery room up to the first day he enrolled in college and moved many states away from home.

Just recently though, Thanksgiving Day, he proposed to his girlfriend Inna and when they arrived to spend the Christmas holidays with us I was privileged to photograph their engagement portraits.  Ben came up with the idea of the furniture in a grassy field and from there we went to one of my favorite locations for the final set of images.

There's no doubt in my mind that Inna and Ben are meant for each other because they are so passionate in their interactions with each other.  As the saying goes, "Theirs is a match made in heaven".  Next on the agenda is an upcoming wedding and this photographer (grandfather) can't wait to cover the next chapter of their lives.  Congratulations, Inna and Ben, and I hope you love your portraits as well as the Guest List book that I also designed for you.

Enjoy!
